Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited has identified two fraudulent websites impersonating its official platform to trick users into depositing funds via virtual wallets. The scam sites falsely claim to provide Faster Payment System (FPS) security support, including refunds and unauthorized transaction reporting services.
The organization emphasized that it does not offer FPS services directly to the public and never proactively contacts individuals. HKICL urged the public to avoid sharing personal or banking information with these fake websites.
