A network engineer from a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency investment company has been arrested for allegedly stealing over HK$20 million in USDT from clients. The 34-year-old employee, identified by the surname Cai, is accused of unauthorized access to the company's database to query client account information and misappropriate cryptocurrency assets. The theft affected approximately 20 clients, resulting in a loss of 2.67 million USDT. The Yau Tsim District Criminal Investigation Team is currently handling the case, with officers collecting evidence from the company.
