Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) will extend the after-hours trading session for derivatives from 3:00 AM to 4:15 AM starting March 2027. The move allows market participants to flexibly manage risk in response to external market conditions outside Hong Kong's daytime trading hours.
Depending on market developments following the initial extension, HKEX will consider further extending the close to 5:15 AM in November 2027.
