Helium Network has announced its expansion into Brazil through a strategic partnership with Mambo WiFi, marking a significant step in its global growth. This collaboration aims to enhance mobile network connectivity across Brazil, where over half the population lacks adequate coverage. Mambo WiFi, which operates 40,000 access points nationwide, will facilitate the deployment of Helium's decentralized model, allowing users to set up hotspot devices as mini base stations. Currently, Helium's network includes over 120,000 such devices in the U.S. and Mexico, serving nearly 2 million daily users. The partnership with Mambo WiFi is expected to bridge Brazil's connectivity gap by leveraging existing infrastructure. Helium also plans to expand further by working with local operators in other regions, as announced at the Solana Breakpoint conference, where they launched an international waitlist to identify high-demand areas for future growth.
