Hats Finance has announced it will cease its centralized hosting operations by December 31, 2025. The decentralized security project cited the unsustainability of maintaining its centralized user interface and server operations as the reason for the shutdown. While the current custodial architecture will be phased out, the Hats protocol will remain operational on-chain, managed by the DAO.
Users are advised to submit withdrawal requests through the existing custodial UI by December 17, after which they must interact directly with the contract for withdrawals. An IPFS-based version of the user front-end will remain accessible through public gateways, though its availability is uncertain due to the cessation of payments to service providers like Pinata.
