HashKey Group has joined Google's Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) as an early partner in Asia, aiming to develop AI-powered compliant payment standards. Announced on October 16, HashKey becomes one of the first digital financial service providers in the region to participate in this initiative. The AP2 protocol is an open framework designed to enable AI agents to securely manage payments using verifiable credentials, supporting stablecoin and other crypto-based methods. HashKey will collaborate with over 110 fintech leaders, including PayPal and Circle, to advance the AP2 protocol. The group will focus on exploring compliance applications in stablecoin payments, on-chain identity, and AI agent settlements, enhancing the technical infrastructure for on-chain use cases.
