A newly created wallet linked to a hacker executed significant leveraged trades on Hyperliquid after receiving funds through TornadoCash. The wallet acquired 3,100 ETH from the privacy protocol, converted it into $6.92 million USDC, and deposited the stablecoins into the decentralized perpetual exchange.
Using the capital as collateral, the trader opened two opposing positions with 20x leverage: a long position on 169.47 BTC valued at $12.84 million and a short position on 5,740 ETH worth $12.83 million. This strategy bets on Bitcoin outperforming Ethereum while maintaining a roughly delta-neutral exposure to the broader crypto market.
