A hacker identified as @Ilhamrfliansyh exploited a prompt injection attack on May 4, manipulating Grok to post a malicious tweet that led to the unauthorized transfer of $175,000 worth of DRB tokens from Bankr. The tweet, initially appearing as Morse code, was decrypted and inadvertently treated as an on-chain request, resulting in the transfer to the attacker's wallet. The attacker converted the DRB to USDC, causing a temporary 40% drop in DRB's value. However, the hacker later returned the funds in ETH and USDC to Grok's wallet and deactivated their account.
