In a significant crackdown under the "Clean Net 2025" initiative, Guizhou's Qiannan cyber police, in collaboration with economic investigation units, have dismantled a major cryptocurrency pyramid scheme. Authorities arrested 15 suspects involved in the operation. The investigation revealed that the organization established shell companies and operated an anonymous cryptocurrency trading platform. They artificially inflated the value of their so-called virtual currency, promoting it with the slogan "everything of value can be tokenized." The scheme lured participants with promises of high returns, structured through a multi-level membership system based on investment amounts. Members were incentivized to recruit others, earning direct and tiered commissions, with thousands reportedly involved.
