GoPlus issued a warning ahead of the LAPTOP meme coin airdrop, saying numerous phishing sites have appeared on X impersonating LAPTOP airdrop whitelists, eligibility checks and claim pages. The meme coin, issued by Hunter Biden, is also facing copycat tokens launched across multiple chains. GoPlus said related contracts may carry risks including closed-source code, high taxes and paused trading, urging users to rely on official channels and verify contract safety before participating.
