Google has announced plans to invest over $10 billion in a 1-gigawatt data center cluster in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, set to commence operations by mid-2028. The project will encompass three sites and feature submarine cable landings, landing stations, and metro fiber, enhancing AI and cloud service capabilities. This initiative supports Andhra Pradesh's target of reaching 6 GW of data center capacity by 2029 and contributes to India's expanding data infrastructure.
