Google Maps Platform has launched three new AI-driven imagery features, enhancing its capabilities for creative and analytical applications. The Maps Imagery Grounding feature allows users to generate AI images using real-world Google Street View scenes as backgrounds, suitable for advertising and film pre-visualization. This feature is currently in private preview in the U.S., with WPP testing its applications. Additionally, the Aerial and Satellite Insights feature integrates a new dataset into Google Earth AI, enabling rapid analysis of imagery content through BigQuery. This significantly reduces the time required for tasks like urban construction monitoring and infrastructure planning. Furthermore, two Earth AI Imagery models are now available on Google Cloud Model Garden, pre-trained to identify features such as bridges and roads, facilitating their deployment in user products. Vantor has already utilized these models in its Sentry application to assess post-disaster infrastructure damage.
