Google Cloud and the Solana Foundation have launched Pay.sh, a new payment system for AI agents that facilitates on-demand payments for API calls on the Solana blockchain using stablecoins. Developed on the x402 protocol, Pay.sh allows AI agents to access and pay for API resources without needing account registration or subscriptions, supporting a micropayment model. AI agents can use a Solana wallet for identity and fund their balance with stablecoins or credit cards, automatically settling payments for cloud services like data analysis.
Operating on Google Cloud, Pay.sh connects to backend services through an API proxy layer and is compatible with the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP). It integrates with over 50 API service providers, supporting applications in communications, e-commerce, and on-chain data. This initiative aims to advance the "Agentic Economy," enabling AI agents to autonomously access and utilize internet services.
