Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, announced a $116 million investment, acquiring 1,286 Bitcoin at prices ranging from $88,210 to $90,391, increasing its total holdings to 673,783 Bitcoin.
Japanese firm Metaplanet reentered the Bitcoin market with a $451 million purchase of 4,279 Bitcoin at $105,412 each, raising its total holdings to 35,102 Bitcoin. Additionally, UK-based BHODL acquired 1 Bitcoin for $90,000, bringing its total to 158.2 Bitcoin. As of January 5, 2025, global listed companies hold 923,680 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $857.8 billion, accounting for 4.62% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
