Genius, a Perp DEX trading terminal backed by YZi Labs, has introduced a refund feature for its airdrop program following community concerns about token distribution. Announced on April 13, the new option allows users to burn their entire GENIUS airdrop allocation within 48 hours after the Token Generation Event (TGE) in exchange for a refund of net fees paid to the platform. The refund is calculated based on net fees, excluding over $7 million in trading rebates and $1.3 million in referral rewards already distributed. Refunds apply only to fees collected by Genius, not those charged by third-party protocols like PancakeSwap. Users can choose to hold their GENIUS tokens or opt for a refund, with the company warning against false claims of partial refunds.
