A study by consumer research firm Protocol Theory reveals that Generation Z in the United States places more trust in cryptocurrencies than traditional banks. The primary reasons cited are the emphasis on asset autonomy, verifiability, and control. The data shows that 49% of Gen Z have used crypto exchanges, and 37% currently hold or use crypto assets. Notably, 22% of Gen Z trust cryptocurrencies to secure their wealth, compared to 13% of Generation X and 5% of Baby Boomers.
