Gaia, a decentralized AI inference platform, has raised $20 million in seed and Series A funding. The financing was led by ByteTrade, SIG, Mirana, and Mantle, with additional support from Outlier Ventures, NGC, Taisu Ventures, and Consensys Mesh. The funds will be used to enhance Gaia's decentralized AI infrastructure and to launch the world's first AI-native smartphone.
The upcoming Gaia AI phone, built on Galaxy S25 Edge hardware, will feature local AI inference processes, eliminating the need for cloud computing. This design ensures no data upload and prevents privacy leakage, offering users a secure and independent AI experience.
