Franklin Templeton, a global investment firm with over $1.6 trillion in assets, has released a report emphasizing the strong returns and diversification benefits of digital assets. The report notes that cryptocurrencies have delivered market-leading returns in eight of the past eleven years, driven by factors such as growing institutional adoption and low correlations with traditional assets like the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, and gold. The report highlights that cumulative inflows into Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs have surpassed $35 billion, marking them as the fastest-growing ETP launches in history. Additionally, the explosive growth in the DeFi and RWA sectors is noted, with DeFi's total value locked reaching $165 billion and RWA on-chain value nearing $34 billion. Franklin Templeton has also expanded its Benji Technology Platform to the BNB Smart Chain, enhancing access to tokenized products.
