Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi, and Morgan Stanley have announced a joint $63 billion financing structure to support AI compute capacity expansion. Under the arrangement, a newly established special purpose vehicle (SPV) will purchase Broadcom XPU AI accelerators and networking solutions to lease to Anthropic.
The deal features a tiered capital structure with Bank of America, Citi, and Morgan Stanley arranging first-lien financing, while Blackstone serves as the sole funder for the second-lien portion. Broadcom will provide the SPV with residual value support equal to the amount of the first-lien financing. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027 as part of Broadcom's previously announced strategic compute agreement.
