Three former executives of the collapsed crypto exchange FTX have agreed to bans imposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of Alameda Research, has accepted a 10-year ban, while Zixiao 'Gary' Wang and Nishad Singh have agreed to eight-year bans. The SEC charged the trio with allowing Alameda Research to improperly use FTX customer funds for trading activities without adequate controls. This development is part of broader regulatory actions as authorities intensify scrutiny over cryptocurrency exchanges.
