Arravind Prabu, former head of crypto hardware wallet distributor CryptoBilis, has denied any involvement in a suspected supply chain attack affecting a Ledger device sold by the company. Prabu stated that he and co-founder Vimalatheethan formally completed the handover of all operational and administrative duties in March 2026 following an acquisition by a new management team.
Since the transition, both individuals have held no access rights or control over backend systems, customer databases, order records, or corporate communication channels. While they provided advisory support during industry events post-acquisition, they did not participate in day-to-day operations or IT infrastructure management. A joint announcement regarding the ownership change was originally scheduled for mid-October 2026 per the acquisition agreement.
