A forensic analysis of electronic devices seized in the investigation of Argentina's Libra token, promoted by President Javier Milei, has revealed deleted communications. Experts identified messages between Milei and Mauricio Novelli, a key figure in the token's launch, as well as interactions with Milei's sister and other associates. However, the contents of these messages remain undisclosed, as the prosecutor's report lacks detailed appendices. The investigation also found that many messages on the phones of Novelli, Manuel Terrones Godoy, and Sergio Morales were erased, with only partial recovery possible. Notably, Novelli deleted messages to his mother, who accessed a bank's safe deposit box shortly after Libra's launch. President Milei has distanced himself from the fallout, stating that participants were aware of the risks, comparing it to gambling losses.
