FOMO Pay, a licensed payment institution in Singapore, has integrated Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin into its cross-border payment system. This move aims to enhance payment flexibility, settlement speed, and transparency for merchants across Southeast Asia, the Greater Bay Area, and the Middle East and North Africa.
RLUSD, backed 1:1 by USD deposits and U.S. short-term treasury bonds, is issued by a trust company regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Since its launch in December 2024, RLUSD's market value has surpassed $700 million. FOMO Pay CEO Louis Liu emphasized that this integration not only facilitates digital asset transactions but also supports the development of innovative payment and cross-border solutions.
