Blockchain payments firm Fnality has raised $136 million in a Series C funding round led by WisdomTree, with significant contributions from Bank of America, Citigroup, KBC Group, Temasek, and Tradeweb. The London-based company, which counts Santander, Barclays, and Goldman Sachs among its existing investors, aims to enhance cross-border payment systems using distributed ledger technology. Fnality plans to utilize the funds to expand its pound sterling system to include the US dollar and euro, addressing inefficiencies in traditional wholesale payment systems.
