U.S. federal agents have arrested Zyaire Wilkins, a 21-year-old from North Lauderdale, Florida, for allegedly embedding malware in online video games to steal cryptocurrency. Between May 2024 and February 2026, approximately 8,000 devices were compromised, leading to the infiltration of around 80 cryptocurrency wallets and the theft of at least $220,000. Wilkins faces charges of conspiracy to use computers for personal gain, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
