Flop Labs, an AI agent project led by Arthur Hayes, said it is building a GPU compute exchange that will enable the buying and selling of computing resources. On the platform, AI agents will use the FLOP token to purchase compute from miners.
Flop Labs said Nvidia posted $89 billion in quarterly data center compute sales, up 117% year over year, but GPU pricing still lacks standardization and typically requires direct quotes from suppliers. The project said validators will re-execute part of completed compute jobs to verify the pricing basis used in transactions.
