Web data infrastructure company Firecrawl has secured $75 million in Series B funding led by Smash Capital. Alongside the financing announcement, the company unveiled Alexandria, a new knowledge base designed to provide AI agents with unified access to real-time web data, official providers, and specialized indexes. Alexandria currently integrates 82 data providers and 471 data capabilities across 28 categories including finance, government, code, shopping, and real estate. The platform hosts over 113 million technical documents, papers, and READMEs, accessible via MCP, CLI, and API. Internal testing indicates Alexandria delivers 21% higher answer quality on directory-type queries compared to built-in web tools.
