Fidelity has expanded its digital asset exposure by $5.37 billion in 2025, with its cryptocurrency holdings reaching $25.92 billion by August 20. The firm's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs adjusted to 199,127 BTC and 728,939 ETH, marking a 26.1% increase in crypto exposure. Despite a slight decrease in BTC units, the dollar value rose by $3.76 billion due to Bitcoin's price rally, while Ethereum holdings surged by 62%, driving a 103.9% increase in value. Fidelity's broader custody book, which includes assets for institutional clients, grew to $46.21 billion from $36.22 billion at the start of the year. This growth highlights Fidelity's significant role in the cryptocurrency market.
