Europol has seized approximately $47 million in illicit cryptocurrency following a major law enforcement operation codenamed "Endgame." The operation was a collaborative effort involving agencies from Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. Authorities targeted network infrastructure used by criminals deploying SocGholish, Amadey, and StealC malware to harvest sensitive data.
The crackdown resulted in the dismantling of 326 servers and 142 domains associated with these cybercriminal activities. In addition to the cryptocurrency seizure, law enforcement recovered over 27 million stolen credentials, marking a significant blow to cybercrime networks operating under the "Cybercrime-as-a-Service" model.
