European finance and crypto industry groups are urging lawmakers to remove size limits on tokenized securities platforms or raise the cap to at least €1.5 trillion, approximately $1.74 trillion.
The groups said a proposed €100 billion cap would restrict industry growth, noting that some existing European projects already exceed that limit by more than three times. The appeal was made in a joint letter to the European Council and European Parliament, signed by groups including the French Digital Asset Association, the Crypto Council for Innovation, the European Ethereum Institute, Nasdaq and the Stuttgart Stock Exchange.
