Euronext suspended CoinShares' Zcash ETP from its Paris market just hours after launch, citing the central securities depository's inability to support related settlement operations. A Euronext spokesperson confirmed the suspension is a settlement infrastructure issue rather than a regulatory action, with the ETP remaining frozen until full standard settlement support is available.
The suspension leaves other European Zcash ETPs from 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor unaffected and still trading. Meanwhile, Grayscale's US-based Zcash fund held approximately $686 million in assets as of late October. The EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, set to fully take effect July 1, 2027, will prohibit licensed crypto companies from handling privacy coins like Zcash or interacting with anonymous wallets.
