ETHGas has launched the Open Gas Initiative, a zero-code gas subsidy program aimed at reducing gas costs for users and enhancing on-chain interactions. The initiative, now live on the Ethereum mainnet, will soon expand to other EVM public chains and Layer 2 networks like BNB, Base, and Arbitrum. Initial protocols integrating with the initiative include EigenCloud, ether.fi, Pendle Finance, and Velvet Capital, which aim to boost user engagement through gas subsidies and community goodwill.
Infrastructure partners such as GasHawk, Blocknative, Goldsky, and ClickHouse will join in subsequent phases, focusing on transaction optimization and real-time analytics. The Open Gas Initiative offers gas rebate structure design, cost estimation, and user-friendly features like gas expenditure queries and gas ID generation. ETHGas envisions this initiative as a step towards a "Gasless Future," enhancing user experience and protocol adoption.
