The Ethereum-based NFT marketplace Foundation has announced its permanent closure following a failed acquisition deal with Blackdove. Founder Kayvon Tehranian confirmed that the platform's infrastructure has been taken offline with no plans for a relaunch. Blackdove decided to build its own platform after conducting due diligence.
Foundation facilitated approximately $230 million in primary sales during its operation. Despite the closure, the platform will continue to support IPFS data for one year.
