A report by Everstake reveals that six Ethereum treasury companies have reported staking income as comprising an average of 60% of their total revenue. The analysis, which included 15 publicly traded firms with Ethereum treasury strategies, highlighted a collective net loss of approximately $1.41 billion in 2025. BitMine Immersion Technologies alone reported a net loss of $9.02 billion for the six months ending February 28, largely due to unrealized losses on digital assets.
The report also notes that the introduction of spot Ethereum ETFs has reduced the attractiveness of companies that merely hold Ethereum. This shift has prompted financial firms to enhance their valuations through yield-generating strategies like staking, as they adapt to the evolving market landscape.
