EIP-8363, a proposal designed to burn an increasing share of validator rewards as Ethereum staking grows, has been withdrawn from the upcoming Hegota hard fork. The decision removes the issuance adjustment mechanism from the current upgrade cycle.
The proposal's authors intend to pursue the reward-burn mechanism through a separate, dedicated issuance-policy process rather than bundling it with Hegota. Lido Finance has reportedly offered to assist with this new standalone effort to refine Ethereum's staking economics.
