Ethereum (ETH) futures trading volume has surpassed Bitcoin (BTC) on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) for the first time, according to Markets.com. Priyanka Jain, CME's Director of Equity and Crypto Products, noted that Ethereum options volatility currently exceeds that of Bitcoin, attracting more traders and boosting futures activity. In July, ETH futures open interest also surpassed BTC for the first time. While Bitcoin still leads in dollar transaction volume, participation in Ethereum derivatives is rapidly increasing.
