The Ethereum Foundation said the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade will include gas fee adjustments under EIP-8037 and EIP-8038, changing the costs of state creation and access. The foundation said most contracts should not be affected, but some that depend on outdated assumptions, including hardcoded gas values, may need updates. Without changes, those contracts could fail or see performance degradation.
