The Ethereum Foundation has proposed a new standard for Layer 1 zkEVM real-time proofs, aiming to enhance Ethereum's capabilities as a zero-knowledge proof application platform. The proposal, outlined by researcher Sophia Gold, suggests implementing proofs across multiple zkVMs with validator verification within a year. The initiative targets real-time proof parameters, including latency of 10 seconds or less, 128-bit security, and proof sizes not exceeding 300KiB, to facilitate broader adoption and scalability of zero-knowledge technologies on Ethereum.
