Ethereum developers have decided not to include the 'frame transactions' proposal, supported by Vitalik Buterin, as a core component of the Hegota upgrade scheduled for the second half of 2026. The proposal, aimed at enhancing user experience and preparing for a quantum-resistant environment, was deemed too complex and potentially disruptive to the upgrade timeline. Instead, it has been categorized as a secondary proposal for consideration. The primary focus of the upcoming upgrade remains on the previously established FOCIL mechanism.
