Etherealize has raised $40 million in a funding round led by Paradigm and Electric Capital, with backing from Ethereum cofounder Vitalik Buterin and the Ethereum Foundation. The company plans to use the funds to promote Ethereum adoption among Wall Street institutions by tokenizing financial assets such as mortgages and credit products. CEO Vivek Raman, who has a background with Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Deutsche Bank, highlighted blockchain's potential to enhance institutional finance. The initiative comes amid a regulatory environment that has become more favorable to crypto under the Trump administration. Etherealize's founding team includes notable figures in crypto and finance, such as Danny Ryan, Grant Hummer, and Zach Obront, who aim to transition traditional financial systems to blockchain technology.
