Etherealize, a startup focused on transforming Wall Street's financial systems using Ethereum, has raised $40 million in funding. The investment comes from Paradigm, Electric Capital, and the Ethereum Foundation, with backing from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Led by Ethereum core architect Danny Ryan, Etherealize aims to leverage Ethereum's security, neutrality, and privacy to enhance institutional finance. Ryan highlighted Ethereum's robust network, featuring over 1 million validators and $120 billion in staked value, as a significant advantage over newer blockchains that often depend on centralized entities. Etherealize's research indicates that Ethereum secures more than 70% of stablecoin value and 85% of tokenized real-world assets, underscoring its dominance in the sector. The startup plans to utilize Ethereum's modular architecture to allow institutions to build custom infrastructure while benefiting from its security and network effects.
