Ethena Labs is set to invest $250 million in Securitize's Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC) to enhance its real-world asset (RWA) footprint. The STAC fund, listed on Solana and managed in partnership with BNY Mellon, focuses on dollar-denominated AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations. Currently, the fund manages around $102 million with a 7-day annualized yield of 2.42% and a management fee of 0.3%.
This strategic investment by Ethena aims to diversify the collateral for its USDe and USDtb stablecoins by incorporating institutional-grade real-world assets. Additionally, Ethena is collaborating with Janus Henderson to integrate their AAA-rated CLO fund, JAAA, into the USDe reserve portfolio, further solidifying its commitment to expanding beyond crypto-native assets.
