Indian AI coding platform Emergent has raised $130 million in a Series C funding round, boosting its valuation to approximately $1.5 billion. This marks a significant increase from its $300 million valuation in January. The funding round was led by private equity firm Creaegis, with contributions from MNI Ventures-Claypond, Sentinel Global, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator, among others. Emergent's total funding now stands at $230 million. Emergent offers an AI-driven "engineering team as a service" platform tailored for SMEs and entrepreneurs. The company reports annualized revenue of about $120 million, reflecting a 70% growth over the past four months. With over 200,000 paying users, Emergent serves clients across various sectors, including logistics, manufacturing, construction, and property management.
