President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador continues to enjoy high approval ratings, with 91.9% of Salvadorans expressing support for his leadership, according to a recent survey by La Prensa Gráfica. The survey, which included 1,200 participants, highlighted that 62.8% strongly approve of Bukele's actions, while only 1.8% strongly disapprove. Despite this overwhelming support, enthusiasm for Bukele's Bitcoin initiative remains low, with only 2.2% of respondents citing it as his biggest failure. Bukele, who took office in 2019, has been credited with significantly reducing crime rates in El Salvador, a key factor in his popularity. His administration's Bitcoin law, introduced in 2021, aimed to integrate cryptocurrency into the economy, but has not achieved widespread adoption. Despite this, El Salvador continues to purchase one Bitcoin daily, as part of a strategy initiated in 2022, signaling ongoing commitment to its crypto agenda.
