El Salvador has redistributed its Bitcoin holdings into 14 new wallets to mitigate potential risks from quantum computing attacks. Previously, the country held 6,274 Bitcoin, valued at $678 million, in a single address. The El Salvador Bitcoin Office announced that by dividing the funds, the impact of any potential quantum attack could be minimized. Each new address is limited to holding a maximum of 500 BTC, enhancing security against future technological threats.
