The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has revised its price forecasts for WTI and Brent crude oil in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook report. WTI crude is now expected to average $87.41 per barrel in 2026, a significant increase from the previous forecast of $73.61. For 2027, the forecast has been adjusted to $72.43 per barrel, up from $60.81.
Similarly, Brent crude oil prices are projected to reach $96.00 per barrel in 2026, compared to the earlier estimate of $78.84. The 2027 forecast for Brent has been raised to $76.09 per barrel, from the prior projection of $64.47. These adjustments reflect changing market conditions and expectations for global oil demand and supply dynamics.
