EDX Markets, a crypto exchange supported by major Wall Street firms, has successfully closed a $76 million Series C funding round, with SBI Holdings leading the investment. The capital will be utilized to enhance EDX's institutional digital asset trading, clearing, and settlement capabilities, as well as to accelerate product development and global expansion efforts.
SBI Holdings, known for its yen stablecoin JPYSC, aims to bolster compliant digital asset infrastructure through this investment. EDX Markets has also launched "EDX FlowConnect," a crypto-as-a-service product, and is seeking regulatory approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish EDX Trust, a regulated entity for custody and clearing services.
