Echo Protocol has suffered a significant security breach on the Monad platform, resulting in the unauthorized minting of 1,000 eBTC, valued at approximately $76.7 million. The attacker deposited 45 eBTC, worth $3.45 million, into Curvance and borrowed around 11.29 WBTC, equivalent to $867,700, against it. The stolen WBTC was then bridged to Ethereum, swapped for ETH, and 384 ETH, valued at about $821,700, was sent to Tornado Cash, a privacy-focused service.
