The founders of Dunamu Inc., South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchange, have joined the ranks of billionaires following a $13.6 billion merger with Naver Corp.'s fintech division. The all-stock deal, announced on December 2, will see Song Ji-hyeong and Kim Heung-nam, the founders of Dunamu, become significant stakeholders in the newly formed entity. Song will hold a 19% stake valued at $2.7 billion, while Kim will own 10%, valued at $1.4 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
