Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's Upbit, has partnered with Vietnam Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank) to establish Vietnam's first local digital asset exchange. The memorandum of understanding was signed in Seoul on August 13. Dunamu will provide technology, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance support to MB Bank, which is among Vietnam's top five banks with 33 million users and nearly $50 billion in assets.
This initiative follows Vietnam's recent Digital Technology Industry Law enactment and aims to tap into the country's growing digital asset market, which includes over 20 million holders and a trading volume exceeding $800 billion. Upbit, the world's third-largest cryptocurrency exchange, will leverage its expertise to support the new venture.
